Flatiron’s Dallas Love Field Runway 13R-31L and Taxiway C Phase 1 Project has been named the Airport Business 2023 Project of the year.
The project wrapped up late last year and was Flatiron’s first at the key North Texas airport. The 8,800 feet 13R-31L is the longer of Love Field’s runways. It was last rehabilitated in 1990. The first plane landed on the newly rehabilitated runway in June.
The critical project also underscores Flatiron’s commitment to sustainability. 92% (160,000 tons) of the base materials came from existing concrete.
