A milestone event brought Texas transportation leaders together in College Station, and Pulice – a FlatironDragados company was there to connect with the people helping shape the state's transportation future.
Pulice joined TxDOT representatives, engineers, contractors and other transportation professionals in College Station, Texas, for the 100th Annual Transportation Short Course, an event marking a century of technical knowledge-sharing and discussion about Texas transportation.
The Texas A&M Transportation Institute partners with TxDOT to host the annual event, which features an opening session, technical workshops and presentations addressing transportation research, programs, project delivery and current industry practices. Attendees include TxDOT leadership and staff, researchers, engineers, contractors and other industry professionals.
"This year was especially meaningful because it was the 100th anniversary of this heralded event, a pretty incredible milestone for a gathering that has brought Texas transportation leaders together for a century," says Pulice Chief Operating Officer Kurt Knebel.
Pulice hosted an exhibitor booth, giving team members an opportunity to connect with TxDOT representatives and industry colleagues. A highlight included a visit from TxDOT Executive Director Marc Williams.
In addition to the technical program, Short Course provides an opportunity for TxDOT personnel, researchers and industry professionals to reconnect and exchange perspectives on the issues affecting transportation planning, design, construction, operations and maintenance in Texas.
For Pulice, participating in this historic event reinforced the importance of technical knowledge, collaboration and strong working relationships in delivering transportation improvements across Texas.
