Reconstruction of 1.5 miles of Ellsworth Road from two to six lanes between Hunt Highway and Cloud Road. Work also included installing curb and gutter, raised median, two concrete box culverts, and adding traffic signals at Santan Boulevard, Riggs Road, and Cloud Road.

This project involved the construction of three signalized intersections with phased construction, extensive traffic control, and utility conflict resolution. It also included involvement and coordination with multiple agencies.

Together, from project development through construction, the Team successfully worked across multiple agencies and stakeholders in executing this unique and innovative project. Design, environmental clearances, and construction were delivered on time, and ahead of schedule. The Ellsworth Road Improvements Team won the 2011 Arizona Transportation Partnering Excellence Award from ADOT.
