Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) and Pulice Construction, Inc. were selected for a 2014 America’s Transportation Award in the Medium Size, Under Budget category for the SR 303L, Glendale Avenue to Peoria Avenue project. With a start date of June 2012 and substantial completion in December 2013, the winning project included construction of three miles of new urban divided freeway between Northern Avenue and Peoria Avenue, and interim ramps to Northern Parkway. The purpose of the national award is to recognize successful projects under budget that provide the greatest cost savings to the state while offering maximum performance. The competition is sponsored by the American Automobile Association (AAA), U.S. Chamber of Commerce and American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO).
