Pulice – a FlatironDragados company completes DFW Airfield Safety & Efficiency Package 3 project nearly five months ahead of schedule
DFW Airfield Safety & Efficiency Package 3 Overview
Client: Dallas Fort Worth Airport
Contractor: Pulice – a FlatironDragados company
Project Type: Aviation
Significance: The project modernized critical airfield infrastructure through pavement reconstruction, utility upgrades and improvements to systems that support airport operations.
The DFW Airfield Safety & Efficiency Package 3 team has completed work at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport, delivering the project four and a half months months ahead of the original schedule.
Located within the airport's Air Operations Area (AOA), the project modernized critical airfield infrastructure through pavement reconstruction, utility upgrades and improvements to systems that support airport operations. The work included airfield pavement and utility demolition, installation of underground utilities, reconfiguration of the jet fuel system to support portions of the new Terminal F expansion and new pavement and airfield markings.
Throughout construction, the team met accelerated milestones to turn over Hardstand F and the Infield 3 area ahead of schedule. Those early turnovers provided DFW Airport with additional overnight aircraft parking ahead of the busy travel season while also helping position the overall project for early completion.
“This accomplishment didn’t happen by chance. It was the result of a team that stayed focused on delivering for our client every step of the way. I’m proud of what we accomplished together,” said Jason Brada, Operations Manager.
Completing work inside the fifth-busiest airport on the planet, required careful coordination to minimize impacts to ongoing airport operations while maintaining an aggressive schedule. The successful delivery reinforces Pulice’s experience executing complex infrastructure projects that keep critical transportation systems moving.
