The Challenge
The project included removal of existing asphalt and concrete pavement, lighting, and utility vaults; construction of new PCCP on the taxiway; approach and anchor slabs for both eastbound and westbound bridges over Sky Harbor Boulevard; asphaltic concrete for shoulders, infield areas, and access road; lighting, and utility vaults.
The federally-funded project included fast-track construction (60-day closure), and coordination with airside operations. During preconstruction services, Pulice provided constructability reviews, cost models, CPM schedules, subcontract bid packages, and the GMP.
