MARICOPA COUNTY, ARIZONA (November 17, 2023) – Pulice Construction, Inc. was awarded the US 60X, Sossaman Road to Meridian Road Corridor Improvements project from the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT).

ADOT has initiated the project to improve US 60X (also referred to as Old US 60, Apache Trail, or Main Street) between Sossaman Road and Meridian Road. The proposed work is located between milepost 189.00 and milepost 194.00, in Mesa, Arizona.

The work consists of milling existing asphaltic concrete pavement and replacing it with new asphaltic concrete, constructing curb and gutter, sidewalk, reinforced concrete box culvert extensions, catch basins, installing pipe, signals, lighting, and other related work.

The project will reduce the roadway to two lanes in each direction to make room for the addition of the sidewalks, curbs, gutters, bike lanes, and lighting.

Improvements are needed to enhance safety and mobility for all modes of transportation. The project will also improve drainage conditions based on the recently completed North Mesa Area Drainage Master Study by the Flood Control District of Maricopa County.
